Why do you have to be selfish?

Do you ever think that you have to be an egoist person? If you never think that, you can think this start from now. Because everyone absolutely have been thinking selfishly. They like to advance their prominence than the others. They will help the others if they have finished their concern or even they will not help anything. You can think selfish if you have ever experienced this following condition.
First, if your friends just need you when they need your help. For instance, your friends and you have same homework, they ask you to help them doing the homework or even ask you to do that homework. Whereas they know you don’t do that homework yet. If there is not homework they will not remember you. Or even when they are happy they forget to you. You have to say “no” when they ask like that. You have to think yourself. If you are a good friend, you will help them after you finished that homework. You have to think yourself before think about them.
Next, You have to think egoistic when you dependent on the others. I mean that, when you dependent to the others and then they make you disappointed. You can be selfish. For example, you always need someone’s help to do anything, but someday he can’t help you. You have to think selfish, you can do it. You don’t need his help anymore. It can motivated you to do by yourself.
The last, you can think selfish when your parents impose their wish to you. We often see parents impose their wish to children like impose their children to be someone who they want. Whereas the child was more interested in other one. I know that every parent want the best for their children and they know what the best for them. But I mean who are live in our future? Of course, we are, aren’t we? So, we have to be an egoist person. We will live in future, so we know what we want to be. We know it will be disobeying parents and they will be angry to us. But if you give understanding slowly, I believe they will give you trust.
To summary, these conditions above will increase your selfish. We know that selfish has connotative meaning, but if we think in positively, selfish can motivated us to be independent and more confident.
